Joe, With the economy the way it is, most of the enthusists have stayed interested but rely on the local Cigar Lounges and golf courses to enjoy the cigars. I plan on revamping the website in a few weeks and will layout our plan. We have officially received IRS notification that we are a legit 501-C-7 Non Profit organization so things may a little smoother. Thanks for the inquiry. We will continue to hold HERFS and other associated events. Mike

Is there ANY movement towards getting a location for the club? It seems things have died off with no real activity including herfs and bar-b-q's let alone a building location.

Hey guys, I've been out of town for a while. What is the latest regarding a wine hurf and what is going on with finding a club location.

Be safe over there, we look forward to lighting up a few when you return. Take care of the bad guys over there and haul ton's of gear safely.

I can't wait to come home from Iraq and see how the club has grown since I left. I am also excited to join in some of the events after I come home also.

Hey guys. Did we ever get that link, from the Gazette, to the pictures they took at the cigar-b-que? I thought the photographer was going to hook us up with it.

WooHoo!!!!! Finally, a cigar club in Frederick. You mentioned on your forum site that you hope to model on the Metro Cigar Society in NJ....my brother in law was a founding member of that club, and if you've never been there, it's great! The members did all the work and put together a really fantastic place for the guys, and they meet regularly. He takes me over every time I'm up to visit (every three months or so), and I've wished so many times that there were something comparable in this area. Please, contact me and count me in.

Joe, Yes, this is the right site. We're still in the process of formalizing some this, including membership forms. I'm going to be getting a membership form uploaded some time this week on the website and also sending it out to the e-mail group. Initial membership will be $50, but that's just to help us get an operating budget going. Once we locate the location that we're going to open at (hopefully in the fall), then membership will increase in order to cover rent and overhead. The goal is to have a lodge open before next winter. Thanks for your patience. you can e-mail me clausewitz36@yahoo.com with any questions. Also, several usually meet at the Davidus store in Urbana on Saturday at 1:00. Greg

I am interested in joining. I have sent previous e-mail and have heard nothing. Is this the correct site or should I be looking at "Thecigarlodge" in Yahoo Groups site?

This is the first post. I will see how this goes and may need to revise the rules. We are a new club and look forward to our comrades across the country to pitch in and help us through our infancy!
